This was a quite usefull tutorial. I’ve never hought about using layer styles for this kind of thing before.

Great tutorial! One question, though. You say you used the dodge tool to darken the image surrounding the pumpkin, but I notice you also brightened the pumpkin a little. What did you use for that?

when i go to do the gradient overlay, it doesnt just apply it to the mouth.. it covers the whole image.. help?
horsechik u have to do it on another layer, i think =D

You have to select the area you want to be in gradient, such as the mouth with your magic wand. YW
