i noticed the case and the lens part are made from 2 different material. Is the dull color part plastic? Also, what is the maximum video clip length? my very old sony can only make 30 sec clips regardless of my memory size.

i’ve tried SD780 in a completely dark room – the picture turned out great, looked like it was shot in a sunlit room!

i like taking pictures foreground… focused on one thing blurry in the backround.. like flower pictures, etc.. is this a good camera for that?

If you hold the camera still then the audio is fine. I’d recommend a small tripod if possible. I’ve found that outdoors it can pick up lots of wind but that’s the case for most of these cameras. Some of the test videos on my channel demonstrate the audio quality of the microphone.

  14. DynamiteJack76 says:

I’ve only used it a few times for pictures so I haven’t tried anything complex. I did take some pictures at a birthday party a few weeks ago and the detail was incredible and better than I expected.

Can you tell me what is the speed or class of that 16GB SD card? Becouse i read that HD video requires high speed memory

i have pro dslr cameras and a 780—the megapixel myth is really starting to show itself in these high mp small sensor cameras,I swear the 7mp elph from 2 years ago had better and richer color — the smaller pixcells dont gather light aswell as larger ones = iso noise – however this camera is super smart–has a viewfinder–its small and very cool–I sold mine, but I missed it so I bought another one-glad I did ,I love the size–nicest point and shoot ive owned-its cool and fun-I recommend it

I cant choose between a Canon Rebel
    or the SD780
but the only problem I have with the SD780
    is the small flash
all cameras Ive had with a small flash pictures never turn out from a far..

is the audio good while recording video?

  21. DynamiteJack76 says:

It’s a 12.1 MegaPixel camera so the pictures generally look very good. I mainly bought it for the HD video but it’s nice to be able to take pictures as well. To me that option is worth the price difference between a Flip Mino HD or a Creative Vado.

  22. HELLSPAWN1973 says:

    Fine :)

  23. Addie52 says:

Does the camera come with a memory card or do you have to buy one?

  24. DynamiteJack76 says:

I had to buy one so I chose a 16 gb for the size.. Some retailers bundle it with a memory card but ultimately you’re still paying for it because the price is higher.
