Yeah not sure what went on with that. Vegas was being an arse.
I think you have quite some illusions concerning how retailers like Amazon do their prices.
I just think that it’s interesting that they knocked several hundred pounds off the list price of the 5D Mark II about a week after the 7D started shipping (as did several other web sites I look at).
I am sure they have their own pricing strategy but if you have some other insight please do share!
Great video. I am a studio photographer who made the switch from Nikon in the film days to Canon for digital about 5 years ago. I bought a 5d Mk2 when last November and it is absolutely amazing. I also have a 1D Mk2n and a 20D and a whole slew of L series lenses.
Back in 2004 Nikon executives stated they had no plans for full frame and that was made me switch.
(The HD video on the 5D2 is amazing especially with the 85/1.2, you just can get shallow DoF like that with a consumer camcorder. )
